Background

My name is Gabriel Ringwelski (Coach Gabe) is a dedicated and passionate basketball coach with experience at both the high school and travel levels. He currently coaches both the JV and Varsity boys basketball teams at Fenton High School and leads the 8th Grade Boys and 16U Boys teams at Shoebox Sports.

Coach Gabe played three years of college basketball—two years at nationally recognized Mott Community College, followed by a year at Penn State Altoona University (NCAA Division III). Throughout his playing career, he received multiple collegiate offers from NCAA, NJCAA, and NAIA programs. One of his proudest accomplishments is being part of a Mott team that earned a spot in the NJCAA National Tournament, finishing 4-1 against the top 16 ranked teams in the country—a run that earned the team a banner in the rafters.

Coach Gabes Emphasis

As a coach and trainer, Coach Gabe emphasizes the core values of hard work, full effort, teamwork, and understanding individual roles. He believes that every player brings unique value to a team, and success comes from knowing how to contribute effectively within a system.

While he trains all areas of the game at a high level, his specialties include post moves, footwork, finishing at the rim, passing, and defensive fundamentals. With a player-first mindset and a focus on development, Coach Gabe is committed to helping athletes grow both on and off the court.
